I Don't Owe You Trust

Navigating new truths, boundaries, and a foundation of one's own.

We share a roof, but not a foundation. The walls still stand, but the silence between them says more than words ever could. You say you want change. You say you want right. But trust isn't built on apologies alone— especially when truth was the last thing offered. I'm here. Not because I believe you. Not because I forgot. But because our children deserve stability, even if the ground beneath us is cracked. I don't owe you trust. I owe myself peace. I owe them clarity. And I owe the truth its place at the table. I'm not rebuilding. I'm surviving. I'm protecting what's left and guarding what's mine. Because healing isn't about going back. It's about knowing what not to carry forward.
